Why not just let it over flow? It’s the same fucking thing
there is a seating on your pump that does that for you
why not just use the waste out mode and backwash hose on your filter where the water can be directed to a runoff or away from the pool? I would be concerned doing that to much in one area could soften the ground and cause leveling issues.
What's the difference in the pool overflowing and you overflowing it?
I had a pool just like that in Michigan. we never cared if it overflowed. when we got in next time we would splash enough water to bring it back to the same level each time. we just had a floating strainer

or you could of just ran the back wash and undo the line to the pool wall pump or the pump it's self usually has and it would of worked way faster and better ... good think I paid attention to 15 years of pool work.. drop 2-3 grand on a pool but not enough attention to read it's label?

The pool overflow won’t hurt anything 😂😂😂 but that is a good way to pump it out or you can just throw it into backwash and do two things at once you clean the filter and empty out some of that water 😂😂😂
Why don’t you just draw a little hole when you get the pool exactly where you want it just draw a little hole on the side of the skimmer so if the water gets above that high in the pool, it’ll come out the skimmer nice and easy instead of waiting for it to get so full that you gotta pump out a lot of water just saying
That’s bad ass and you can walk away from it. Little drain as low as the downspout pretty cool.
Backwash....Then you clean the sand filter and lower the water level at the same time .
just take off the hose that goes to filter

You are not suposed to let pool water drain onto the ground. it is to be directed to the homes drainage. With all the chemicals in it can be hazardous to the wildlife in the area.
