Many of the older mechanics that are heading into retirement don't have enough young people moving into the trades We are heading into a shortage of knowledgeable young people in ALL the trades. Plumbers,Electricians,Carpenters, Sheetmetal, Roofers, Cabinet makers, Stone masons,Bricklayers and many more.. We have and abundance of people with Diplomas for jobs that are being phased out technologically. We are in dire need of trade schools.
at Denver Tramway we had a guy who knew everything about everything. one evening we sent him looking for a diesel spark plug wrench.
Worthless site. Purely worthless information if it can even be classified as information.
The guy that started all of this is thought by many to be useless. I, on the other hand know that he can always be used as a bad example! Go ahead and argue "that" one!
He is firing up the pipe that doesnt have enough heat. pipes are hot when operating normally
damn shame how complain about real financial, educational, shortfalls and don't do shit about it. this is what I have been doing go to sanitation ,mta and schools getting as many application information as possible and post info around the hood .can't front got some great info for paid job training plus job placement security electrical journey man plumbing have not got info agriculture. give a little help to next generation and so forth.peace a.m.p!!!!
My favorite is to tell people they need more blinker fluid..
in need of a metric crescent wrench.
He's illustration on procreation can be 🔥... is crude but onpoint! 😂
😂
let's not forget the "board stretcher"! lmao
🫵😂
I always loved telling guys they had to hold the spark plug wire on the lawnmower while i pulled it so i could get it started 😆
I'm usually pretty good at catching shenanigans. In my life, I was got twice and got good. The first one was in a manufacturing plant. I was instructed to go to the toolroom and get a red ST1. I didn't know right off what it was, and when I got to the toolroom, the tool man said, "Write it down", I did and when I looked again I wrote Red STone. good one, fellas. The next one was with an electrician and he asked me to look in the top left drawer and grab me a Matterdatty. I opened the drawer not having any idea what that was, but thought I could single it out with the process of elimination. After identifying everything in the drawer I finally turned and said "What's a matter daddy"....that one got me good right there.
In the Marines we sent guys to the quartermaster to get a shoulder sling for a 106mm recoiless rifle or a box of grid squares.
Ok this is a big world with a lot of rude remarks . As a little girl I helped my dad and brothers work on there cars ( before the computer chips ) . As a young lady I fixed my own vehicle because I could not afford to take it to a garage . I learned A LOT of tricks . However never this . What is this and what does it do ?
that's a pipe stretching technique very few know about i found the instructions in my pizza dough repair kit right next to the drywall thermometer and counter painter
We can't fit all this in here tell the new guy to go get the freezer stretcher
In boy scouts we used to ask new scouts to go next door and ask for a left-handed smoke shifter
my apprentices was messing up i sent him to another job site to pick up an electric ball peen hammer just to get him off my jobsite
I do this to check if the plugs are gas fouled ! If it burns that means you have gas or oil on it and it could be because of a few things like bad injector bad coil bad plug not firing if you have oil then it could mean you have a leaking valve seal valve or piston rings ect! Yes I'm old school mechanic! I'm 57 and been doing it since I built my first engine when I was 14
brick stretcher
Old mechanics should not know this!
he was cleaning the muffler bearings before he applied blinker fluid
That’s how you loosen up the canuter valve.
Stupid vidio. nothing accomplished or determined.
we can't forget about blinker or that turn signal fluid or the classic metal stretcher and sky hooks
Anybody seen my board stretcher?
a butt plug for a muffled exhaust
What did we learn from this???
🤔
Know what? that you're wasting a lighter and time.
I think learning a trade will be more important in the years to come starting another boom for tradesmen. AI might be able to design it but I dont see it running gas lines to a furnace anytime soon. AI cant even pump my gas so I think Trades will always be needed.
A bt punch
Brilliant !!
we used to send people to the dish room to grab the plastic frying pan
Who would do that? and why would they do it.?
I learned that trick 40 years ago
bro how high are you !!!!
what is that for
I have plenty of plumbing experience & my own pipe stretcher...
over my head
with is this all the years working on cars never sore or heard this stupid
most people don't have their muffler bearings checked often enough.
We had a new guy at work and he was asking if he could help us. The guy I was working with asked him to go to the parts department and ask for a fillopion tube. He came back later telling us that they were all sent back to be revirginized.
yah but as long as the waterpump for the headlight isn't leaking the bike should run just fine..I mean if it had legs and running shoes..but that is the proper way to remove and install a new muffler bearing.
I don't get it, what are they doing?
I need my wood welding rods
need a new pneumatic 5/32mm ratching oil wrench
