u could use a good size magnet. When I used to work in retail, we used to use magnets to take them off before giving the merchandise to the customer.
Merchandise shrinkage ( theft ) is passed on to paying customers.

you just need magnets. they are magnetic. once you get the magnet to engage with the piece, you twist it off like a bottle cap. no damage at all and the alarm won't go off and you don't have to worry about getting burnt plastic in York New shirt, pants or shoes.
