should have put a couple of washers on that bolt.
or here me out don't drill a giant whole in the front just bolt to the side then you can even double up the chain and you don't completely destroy the strength of the wood by ruining the structural integrity of it
not for climbing
I couldn’t tell you the amount of times I’ve seen this
Nope. Never seen it before . That's because there's better ways to do it.
pull really hard and that post will snap
is that for a small poodle, Its not for a big dog
so only 3/4 inch wood holding tht threaded rod, didn't need to cut all tht wood out
useful thank you for the info.
probably cause it sucks 😆
I mean common sense
need a longer bolt
Have you ever heard of washers?
stupid video
I would have went right through the chain link and saved $3.
instead of having the big 2-in hole you could just make a slot where it just slides into and run them boly through it! no weak point
I don’t think you needed an 8” bolt either 🤨
How do you know I’ve never seen that technique before?
a truck easily, can pull that post out of the ground.
I have my grandpa's porch and a county fair😂
Done such 43 years ago.
the 4 by 4 arnt steady
Looks quick and easy
🙄😮💨😪🖐🤯🤯😬😬🫣🫣
oh please
thank you
wow
I've done that 40 years ago for Cal fences I don't know where they figured never seen it before it's been around for ages
I never have seen that technique. And what's your name?
I invented that.
too weak, bolt can easily break the left over corner wood
I think you need a better video!
4 inches of the bolt is sticking out the other side 😂
that's not going to hold anything
we're are the washers
what's the point? or is there one?
a condon could have saved us from seeimg this
Instead of cutting the large hole, get an eyebolt, then drill the hole for the eye bolt on the side where you want to attach the chain. then attach the carabineer to the chain and hook it on the eyebolt. This way do not weaken the post and the post won't rot where you drilled the large hole.
Duh, did someone forget something? WASHERS
reason why because the dog chain broke it in half chasing after the neighbors cat
just curious but why the 8 inch bolt to go through what looks like a 4x4?
That's a technique? lol
The structural integrity of the wood is trashed. stupid. Just drive an eyebolt in.
why not stick the end of the chain link in the hole with the bolt and drill a smaller hole
Yes. I’ve done it
didn't even use washers......
It needs a longer bolt.
