It's not True.If you step on a cockroach, it doesn't release a bunch of eggs, cockroaches to only carry one egg I'm an exterminator I know.

Roaches produce one egg at a time and carry it like a body-part until it is mature. Then the host releases a clone of itself. If the host dies before the clone is mature, the clone will continue to live, surviving on the nutrients provided by the hosts body. If the clone was mature enough when the host dies, it emerges as a mature adult roach. Also, the roach does not require a male and a female to reproduce, they can change to become the one that is needed.
