I don't know what fascia blocks are. there's subfascia, which is linear. Generally a 2x6 that attaches to the rafter tails after they get a string line and a plumb cut.Then there's different types of finished fascia, also linear. Generally metal, hardi or wood. Only 9" blocks that make sense would be deadwood for soffit, so there's something to nail to. Can someone tell wtf are 9" fascia blocks fawk sake?

I don't know about your friend, but all the framing crews I knew, always had at least 2 generators. Power was never a problem.
