another helpful tip is to get left or right hand swing, you just back your happyass up to the jamb and copy what the door does with your arms. Whichever arm goes out, that's the swing of the door.

Yeah, but you also need to show them how to measure their hinges because of the hinges aren’t the right location. They’re going to have to chisel them and nobody likes to do that. You also need to make sure that the door thickness is correct too, and that the door is equipped for the correct hardware

Most lumber yards that have a door shop will make a door to match any prehung door in your house and as long as it closed good before you'll a brand new door for probably less a 100.
