Nope, the pipe has to actually be conduit if it goes in the ground I think that's the right word so you actually need metal piping

you don't want to glue anything and you don't need the fitting with the nozzle at all.

it's a good idea for sure. but I wouldn't doubt it would eventually cause washout. due to loss of compaction.

Wash out and sidewalk cracks - did this big mistake!!! Dig the hole and re compact soil / you can dig that in the time it takes to go get supplies
