I was a trucker and have had to chain up a few times. It sucks but totally necessary to continue the trip. Would have to try these out before I could actually endorse them. (not that my endorsement would mean a damn thing)!! But if they work like this video makes them seem it's the next million dollar idea. Some say this type of chain traction has been around for a while. I'm not disputing that but it's the first I've seen them. Tire chains like in the very first of this yes have been around for decades. Really cool and make it simpler for the driver. Could take them off in the summer so not such a hindrance.
except tire chains tear up the roads and are outlawed in most states
man I am telling it won't be long we will all be zoom zooming across the sky's in are own little personal drone are flying machine I cane see it coming soon just saying .
more parts to break down
School buses and ambulances have had these for years
it would blow the tire out over time with chain smacking the tire
Those automatic chains suck. We used to have them on our plow dump trucks. Continued to get stuck. We went back to real chains so we'd quit getting stuck.
That’s groovy baby
Just one more thing to break.
well it looks good until they get frozen packed with ice and stop rotating .
this is OLD tech. it's been on trucks and even school busses for almost 40 yrs in the USA😂
looks super convenient, but just seems like alot of problems
Bunch of crap.. Just get good tires
Had a truck that had automatic chains. It was a game changer
my dad had these 20 years ago, very expensive...they broke very easy and became dangerous. these may have not been as modern as these here, but they looked the same. he loved them at first, but gave up on them.
fun till one of those links breaks off and ends up in somebody's face in the back
That mechanism would ice up and not work
Best thing ever invented
they used to call him instant chains. they got an Air canister that drops down and put the chain under the tire. first place I ever seen him used was in California on buses. they weren't legal when I got off the road for a semi yet good idea though
Fire trucks and ambulances have them up here in the northeast
They have been around in European countries for sometime.
I was promised a hovercraft! 🙄
Made in China
Great!
all cool til they get caught in the tire and/or assembly and make it even worse
Where were these all those winters in Pittsburgh...lol
Finally! an animal tenderizer for the wife's car.
against the law in some states
Oil truck have em up north for like 20 years now
The school busses in my county just started using those this last winter
pass, I'll just throw on regular chains
That wouldn’t last very long 😳
all school and city busses and ambulances have those. since forever. it's nothing new. if you live where it shows, you'd know that.
Nothing new. They have Bree. On municipal and commercial trucks and ambulances for 20 years, that I know of. The work well.
this is just stupid. having 8 loose chains hanging 3 inches off the ground when not in use.
That’s just awesome, how innovative!!
The system looks made of aluminum pneumatic cylinders, press connect fittings and plastic tubing. I bet the first week of below 32°F temps causes the system to freeze up and fail.
The way these fools drive we need to be more like the Jetson's just have tubes that take us everywhere
Wake up your news crew these have been popular for 20 years
Wear on inside of tires.
This is the modern version of the sand dumps
It’s illegal to put chains on ur wheels in a lot of places cuz it tears up the pavement
I'm tired
Rud roto grip 3 insta8chain
they last a lot longer if you only engage the chains on snow/ice! buy a few feet of chain easy to replace if u have a lift
not impressive they will break down💕
That's just silly.
