9 volts is to much voltage, it will over heat your battery and can start a fire
it only charges at 3/4 speed at best, if the battery's new. car batteries are 12V and that's a 9V.
I thought he was going to do the same thing I did was string the coil across the battery so he could light a cigarette as I did as I didn't have a lighter or matches and the toaster and stove were downstairs and I was upstairs with a broken leg in an old school plaster cast.
it probably works better in spring.🤣

Yeah, but you haven’t hold the metal piece on the plastic car charging mechanism the entire time you’re charge the phones battery so while it may be a way to Charge your cell phone battery without a car’s charging port, it still requires you to hold the metal line on the car’s charging port mechanism.
