Ìt should be made out of metal, not plastic.
It needs a lock that is part of the shaft (like a hitch pin lock) that goes through the 2 welded nuts or bushings that is as thick or thicker as the shaft. But it is still more trouble than it's worth. listen to those commenters that said put a hiden switch that cuts fuel off or ignition wire so it won't start. They also have battery cable cut-off (heavy-duty lever) switches that prevent any electric from being used to open doors, trunks, or anything that install under the hood.
just pull the fuze for the starter. much simpler.
