I'm 50 now, but I remember the difficulty & struggle of going thru puberty & development. It was awful! I hated my body & tried desperately to hide it (especially my chest)! I would consider myself to be a tom-boy. But, I got thru it and have never questioned 'who' I was ... thank God! Had I been a teenager today, I fear my school, parents, or society would have tried to convince me that I was "born in the wrong body" when in actuality, all I needed to do was get thru that tough stage of development (that nearly everyone goes thru) and go on with my life ... just as I am ... female ... and proud to be so!!! ❤️😁 These you ppl need to learn to love & accept themselves for who they are - because they are perfect, just the way they are!!

And for girls it’s a way more radical change with the starting of menses and body changes that feel so conspicuous. My son came out to me at age 13 he is 18 now. I accept you love who you love you can’t control what your attraction is to make or female… but my son and daughter both know. There a boy and a girl.
my 16 year old daughter went thru this when she was 12 after she had been molested. she didn't want to be a girl anymore. I told her I understand her feelings because I was molested as a child also. but I explained to her that she is a girl and she can't change it. I told her and taught her how to handle the way she felt. also told her being a woman was something to be proud of and not to let her molester win. now she has blossomed into a beautiful, smart, and strong young lady.
I wanted to just wither up and no longer exist when I started my period. I only cared about baseball and basketball. Plus, I was 2-3 years ahead of all my little girlfriends. I had nobody to relate to. Never told my friends. I was destroyed. I'm now 65. I would NEVER want to be ANYTHING but a chick. Never considered being a boy even through my devasting changes from girl to woman.
