and they was as racist to us as white people
Ain't that funny the Chinese just settled in with not much lynching and murders upon them, our dumb ass start buying from them but I get it. We tried owing our own everything and it gets mysteriously set on fire. I promise I wouldn't mind segregation but I mean fully separated. No cops, no teachers, no body of another race cones on our side and vice versa we police our own and sentence our own. We invented so many things we don't get credit and I'm supposed to know more European history than American history and black history
It is so disheartening that the Chinese were given our land to build their wealth upon our backs.🤔 The white establishments to this day give Iranians, Chinese, Africans, and other minorities discounts in black areas in order to keep them from setting up businesses in white areas. 😲However, they refused to allow our own to acquire black own businesses in our own areas.🤔 Systematic and structural racism at its finest 🤔. And the fact is they still to this day treat blacks in their own community's as if they're the outsiders and thieves 🤔
The Chinese were smart, they exploited the situation, they didn't care about the issues, they cared about the money.
They are just as racist to this very day! So what is the point of porch story? Save it! Next🌸
I remember in the 1960’s when my mom and dad every year would go to Selma, Alabama from New York and would spend 2 weeks with them. I would go with my grandpa that sold candy out of his car to the small stores. He sold to everyone that wanted to buy from him. He lived closed to where some black community lived over the railroad tracks. He lived across from a cotton field (he didn’t own it)and I would go and play with the black kids that were with their moms picking cotton. I would go over the tracks when they were finished picking and play with my black friends. He would give me boxes of candy to give to the kids. They lived in little houses that all looked the same. My parents weren’t scared for me to go over there from the black people but were more scared of the white prejudice people seeing me playing over there playing with them so they would pick me up with the car. They didn’t want me to walk back over the tracks cause of the kkk might would have hurt me if they seen me.
So they straddled the fence
it don't matter who you are the culture of this woman's voice says it all.... if I closed my eyes I would no she was an Asian women... thank you for serving those who couldn't buy from those that blamed us for them being poor just like them.... should've been against those who wanted us to stay like that... but that was the plan just like now keep the poor fighting while we rob you blind....
Black People Had They Own Business Didn't Depend On Anybody Else. Asia People Didn't Come In The Black Community Until The 70' s We Had White Store We Had Our Own Store In Our Community. Even Down South You Had White Store In Black Communities When To Visit My Family Down South The White Had Stores In The Black Communities. After The Vietnam War That When You Saw Many Asians People Coming In The Black Communities Opening Up Corner Stores. When The Jewish People Sold They Stores To The Asian People Not That Many Blacks People. My Family Owned A Grocery Store In Our Community. My Aunt Didn't Ask Young People In The Family If We Wanted To Take Over The Grocery Store. She Sold It To The Asian My Grandfather Would Never Sold It To The Asian People. He Passed It Down To His Grandchildren and Nieces and Nephews First.🤔🙏😆😆😆😆👍
Am I the only one who loves the deep southern drawl on an Asian woman? To me that is as cute as when I'm traveling overseas and I hear little kids speaking their native language and then they speak English 2 seconds later? I absolutely love how the education systems work in other countries with out being part of a political argument. Racism is racism and this country for some reason has started thriving on it again and it's disgusting
This is the narrative of systematic racism in America.
They supplied a need. Families had to eat! Community could have jointly purchased?
Pure AMERICAN, and STILL BEAUTIFUL !, the accent makes her even MORE PRECIOUS, an ASIAN SOUTHERN BELLE, the Belles are America's LAST HOPE Female-Wise !
You see we’re all one. Our hearts beat as one. Our brains connect to the same source. Most fail to realize this. What one does to one does to all. It’s time we start seeing each other as equal.
there's a scene in the movie Sinners depicting this very truth
Chinese in the south
True story
They thought they were white
I am from down South Birmingham Alabama there was this Italian family that I knew there was two sisters and a father and just because they was Italian the white race would not deal with them so they start dealing with the black people in the community and back in those days if you did not have money you have to stay and call a ledger and this is how they kept up these two sisters and they was Italian and they used to call them some other names like they did not like and this is very true back then that was hardly no Chinese down south but now that I hear this I do not know if this or true or not about the Chinese people but I know in China they do not like any black people there because when covid-19 came around he was putting people out of their houses black people because they thought that we brought covid-19 to China when the Chinese professor dug it up and had it in a lab
It was all about money
Greenville ms sorry ass town
love her accent ❤️ but it's throwing me off 🥰
True but a few actually lived and stayed in the black community.
That accent! its like listening to my aunts.
when thy got her yt man told y'all on own sleeping on melonaded indigenous copper color Indiana chotaw cheerkee black foot freeman Hebrew moor's Egyptian Indian tribes descendants mound builder's
If anyone has watched the movie Sinners,it shows this in a small scene of the movie. You have to pay very close attention or you’ll miss the scene of what she’s saying
This is so sad, I can just cry . Shouldn’t have been like this🥲.
they never "served" the blk community, they exploited it
look at her she looks Chinese but sounds so white...🤔🤔
This is an interesting story however how did they treat us like they treat us NOW????
The Asian lady sounds southern 🤔
Thank You
People wanted to do the job but certain .people were prevented from owning their own businesses . Racism runs deep especially in the south . I know that this is seen. So that is BS that no one wanted the job or it filled a need. Well I guess it did fill a Jim Crow need, however, it was not expected for foreigners to prosper like they did and now they are part of the problem. lol
I moved to GA during Covid to help my son. Your voice has more of a Southern intonation than most of the ppl I come into contact with here.
Sinners
The voice doesn't match the face
💕
smart business move...
