Think about how many Buffalo use to roam the western U.S. they had plenty of food to eat and plenty of pelts from the buffalo to keep warm. Then when they encountered native tribes they attacked and ate them. Neanderthals wervpur carnivores it is said their average height was 6"4 that was their average height si some probably were 7 feet tall added with their physical strength they were giants. I believe this incident took place in a spot they call Lovelock cave. you can find a bunch about it on YouTube and also about the one the Marines fought in Afghanistan. it's very interesting and supposedly the Smithsonian has a bunch of artifacts that no one's allowed to see.

I've heard this story since the 70s my great grandfather was a half breed, and my great-grandmother was full blood, they always told the story of how the Paiute men sealed the red head giants in a cave set it a blaze. It was mostly about how brave they were and they had no choice because the giants would snatch women and children and eat them.I always thought it was a wives tale, but they always told it like it really happened.
