I'm an old white man . I was born before this song came out. We loved the song and did not care who was singing this song, black or white. God created all of us.
Racism was still very much alive and well in the 70's also. decreased some in the 80's -2016 but came back again full force when Trump became president the 1st time. And now I feel like we are living in the 60's again all the Hate for brown / black people has got to stop . we are all members of 1 race the HUMAN ONE!!!
I was around in the 50s and I don't remember us white woman disliking a singer that was black. If we liked the song we liked the singer.
What’s funny is that almost every time someone brings attention to racism, there are always people quick to call it “race baiting” or claim that Black people are the most racist. We know you're tired of hearing about it — and good. That’s exactly the point. We’ve got Trump and others trying to erase history so people remain unaware of the damage caused by those like him. Just look at what ICE is doing right now — it's the same kind of treatment Black people have faced for generations. And to make it even worse, we’re from here. This is our home. America continues to benefit from systems built on the backs of our ancestors while still trying to silence the truth.
hilarious to see all these white people in the comments claiming NOBODY was racist in the 50s. why come in here lying
.
racism never died. It was on life support, and now it is up and walking again..
🙏💕
RACISM IS AWFUL
you can't tell me that most white people over the age 70 wasn't raised to be racist
Dick Clark’s people horrified that audience by having a satanic temple constructed as a set:
It’s so funny reading of white boomers saying they never witnessed foul and unfair treatment of colored people.
Don't let the black and white footage fool you. That was only 40 or 50 years ago. We are dealing with that mentality still because they passed it on to their children and grandchildren. Considering the current moment ..I'm not shocked. It confirms what most of us darker than the shade of khaki have known for a while. This nasty behavior is learned and passed on.
.
NOTHING HAS CHANGED
That was a long time ago. Get over it.
This is BS. We didn't care.
shallow, God made everyone
you're just trying to cause a racial divide.
This video was posted to get a rise out of people. It’s like picking at a scab.

those women were racist bigots
😂🤣🤣. The look on their face is priceless....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.... yeah... singing and dancing to a black man's song👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾...
Charley pride also.
Why would you post this. This country has enough raceism going on without someone adding to it.
Ancient history. This is called race baiting and it's pathetic.
I’m not buying this. There were many singers that were black and very accepted
It is very concerning that people would claim racism based on the expressions of these women. It is very prejudicial to say the least but it speaks to the many false claims of racism.
That crowd video could be from who knows where! I’m an old white woman that didn’t care if the singers were purple! It was all about the music!
More Democrats Dividing techniques.!!I don't care who sings it, luv it !!?
So True. we had allot of Famous Black Singers. in the 1950's and 1960's. They were Awesome and greatest.
And this is why their faces were never put on album covers.
SO WHAT... TIME HAS CHANGED... STOP RACE BAITING...
This is just not true! We didn’t care if the singer was black. This era was shortly followed by Motown when all the singers were black. Don’t believe this
Stop with the racism crap… we didn’t act like that
We never thought about what color they were, we were just really happy to hear the music!
Best dancers and singers in the world!!!!!
Ed Sullivan is the first white TV host to showcase alot of Foundational black American talent during segregation.
when your in a foxhole doesn't matter what color your skin is
Seems like this is narrated to make white people look racist. That is racist. You don't know what people are thinking. People should use your brain before agreeing and commenting. Shame on author of this post.
man everybody knew who sung this song and so did thet
every one enjoyed, just trying to stir the pot
That is a lie! Everyone knew who was singing!
They are all chewing gum like cows too😆
we are not living in the 50s anymore!
Trying to stir up trouble!!
But they did not leave
ha I'm loving it
How racist were taught
Adjustment... that's all.....
That kind of racism is from the evil depths, & that ego, owned by the inhabitants of hell, unlike any other on Earth! Facts.
