How we even allow police dogs to violate the fourth amendment is astonishing. The false alert rate on drug dogs is 74%!!! How can any court tell the citizens that an animal that is WRONG 3/4 OF THE TIME is probable cause for a search? These dogs are trained to respond to the handler's actions based on a "Hunch". This shouldn't even be a discussion. Drug dogs are a joke.

No even in Florida they need probable cause, even in Florida they can not go into your vehicle without permission, probable cause, or the K9 alerting from the exterior thus giving them probable cause. The search was invalid as soon as the K9 handler opened the door without an alert even if they did find something it would have been inadmissible in court. I’ve seen departments lose law suite and have evidence thrown out for the dog aggressively searching the vehicle causing scratches. We always talk about why didn’t the suspect simply comply and heres the reason bad policing from the Sgt. down to the K9 handler.

yes I've been pulled over before because they killed my friend here in Tampa unarmed I had rest in peace with his name written on the window so at that point every cop in Tampa started pulling me over they put the dogs around my car and said it alerted so at this point they were trying to pull off my bumper but found nothing so I asked him why did you put me over initially they said I had no brake lights which was a lie I told them since you guys got cameras on your vehicle it should record that I had no brake lights they demanded that I pulled off before I get arrested the cops in Tampa are trash nothing but liars
