As someone who’s parents left me in the care of my “aunt” that NO ONE WOULD TRUST WITH A DAMN GOLDFISH but for my well off parents it was an easy way to ditch their kids n go on vacation-i “took the place of my sibling “ as I was the oldest at 9 and suffered a week of abuse(my aunt had some guys rent a room in her basement where she also had a couch open up to a bed for me n siblings while they were 3!!! Stories up in there bedroom every night. Let’s just say I had physical issues that alerted my parents to what had happened but to “keep the peace “ nothing was ever done but I was the pariah of the family…decades later im still the reason the family isn’t “right”
