A banquet is held for Herod's birthday, and his stepdaughter dances and pleases him. It's hard to believe that humans still believe in the supernatural and trust 'religions' claiming that they speak for a deity, the creator of the universe. They all have an ancient man-made book with which to control people and make money while also threatening eternal damnation for anyone who challenges them. This has worked beautifully to control the 'faithful' (those willing to ignore reason and accept these agendas unquestionably, the despairing, the desperate, the fearful ) for millennia. Meanwhile, There is no evidence anywhere on earth that the characters in these books had supernatural abilities or even existed.There is no evidence that the realm of the supernatural exists or that anyone has ever been given the authority to speak for or represent an alleged creator of the entire universe. There is no evidence that an alleged creator of the universe, supports any religion or needs money, help or worship from humans, communicates with or helps them in any way.
Resurrections, ascensions, healings, multiplying/ transforming, floods, heaven/hell, virgin conception/birth, spirits/devils/angels, original sin, prophecies/ revelations/voices in the sky, controlling storms/ seas/the sun, divine beings/ saints,, eternal damnation/reward, talking donkeys, 'chosen' people, walking on water/parting the sea.. seriously? Hey, if it was good enough for nomadic illiterate pagan peoples living in tents and caves 5000+ years ago, well then, why not today, right?
