If it was legal then why didn’t he go and pass. So maybe he didn’t have time to pass all of the vehicles or when he seen the cop he said shit I’ve got weed and backed off.

genuinely scared of the people in these comments if they have licenses. is it not common knowledge (since it’s a question on the drivers test) that you can only pass one vehicle at a time in an oncoming lane. he very clearly was going to pass multiple then backed off when he saw the cop, regardless if he did or didn’t he tried.

Actually, what that driver did was illegal. Even without a solid yellow line, crossing into the oncoming lane to bypass traffic and merge ahead especially on a two-way road is considered improper passing or reckless driving in most states. So yeah, technically what he did was legal, but there was no reason for him to do it, even though there was no oncoming traffic, so therefore it was illegal.
yes passing is legal but speeding to do so is not. plus a lot of states have a limit to how many vehicles you can pass at once. and a semi hits that limit for every one of them
If truck is traveling at the speed limit, you can't speed to pass it, plus he was ready to pass all the vehicles until he saw the police

Passed on dotted line. Cop was the one who crossed a solid line, hit the dirt which could've caused him to lose control, and crossed back over without a turn signal, all without a siren or lights. Putting people in more danger than someone passing in a passing zone.
