This happened in Utah and the truck that rear ended her is to blame. I myself would have driven through but in a situation like that I don't think that anyone would be thinking about what to do.

If yall knew about cars, newer ones has a safety switch once you get rear ended it triggers the switch an shuts off the fuel pump, once it does that it will run only a few seconds from the remaining fuel pressure in the system onnce it shuts off itβs dead in the water

it does look like she was rear-ended, but she could have kept going forward, π at the same time now that I really take a closer look at it. I probably would have done the same thing. it's one hell of a lawsuit and the guy behind her has to pay for a new car and her therapy. good for her now that's thinking on her feet.

They had three options here: stop when they see the arm lowering, keep going forward since they kept going, or keep backing up when they decided to back up and the car behind them BACKED UP FOR THEM

That truck pushed the SUV over the tracks. it appears that the SUV driver felt that once that train got between them and the truck, the truck would be gone by the time the train passed.
