trucker had 4 days to slow down when the car passed on the right he should have been on the brakes. he caused it as much as the car did by being in the passing long for 13 miles

no its not your responsibility to be aware of that. hes a cdl holder, his responsibility is to be able to safely operate a commercial vehicle. hes not responsible for others driving. everyone else on the road is supposed to be licensed, so in turn everyone else on the road should be driving normally. nit his fault at all. there would've been nothing he could do, you should watch the video again as well. he did let off the gas and shifted down so he could slow down when that car passed on the shoulder. he did everything he could.
You can tell who don't have CDL's in these comments. That truck would have hit regardless the white car is 100 percent the cause and might be dead because they are or WERE impatient jackwagons, with zero consideration for other travelers
dude had PLENTY of time to react. he chose not to slow down when he saw the idiot passing the truck on the right. not his fault, but he definitely could have prevented being involved. you have the responsibility as a truck driver to be aware of shit like that. he chose not to break when he saw impending danger. not blaming him. but he could have prevented being invovled in that crash. he was careless.
truckers are supposed to stay in the right hand lane unless passing another vehicle. this mufucker was driving in the left lane just to drive. faster vehicles had to pass on the right to get around.

As a truck driver myself for 10 years, As soon as I saw the white car pass on the shoulder like that- I would have slowed down and probably moved to the right lane. That way, if there is an Impact, it will possibly be to the right shoulder rather than into Head On traffic.
