After a century of cops planting weapons on people after shooting them for no reason cameras are proving what pieces of shit they are. That cop shot a man walking away from him. 15 years ago he would have lied and courts would automatically believe the cop. Every single officer needs to wear a camera and if it’s turned off while on duty and something happens while his camera is off then he is charged and his qualified immunity is voided.

That DEFINITELY won't be attempted murder. Murder requires premeditated & intent. At worst, this could be a homicide. It is most likely going to be downgraded to a manslaughter though since his beliefs and intentions were in-line with enforcing the law, and he BELIEVED that she was in imminent danger and that this man was about to shoot her with a gun in had. It was an accident & a mistake (just about the worst mistake an officer can EVER make), so he'll likely be a 2-5 year sentence if the guy dies.
