Why would you cut off the live box antlers and not the dead ones? What’s wrong with you guys? Are you serious right now?
They get a new rack every year people they did that buck zero harm and probably saved his life while putting theirs at risk. So stop the nasty comments
serious question guys...does the deer feel any kind of pain from antlers being cut off? I am genuinely curious....I know they fall off every year...so they are almost like teeth in a way?
don't understand why they didn't cut the horns on the dead one cause now if he has to prove his self to another buck he has no way to defend himself
not sure what logic I'm missing but if they cut the dead deers antlers off, then can't the other one keep it's antlers and shake the other ones loose if they are still tangled?
Infection is the biggest factor here and yes he will have a new rack next year even bigger

Even though he got his horns cut off I’m pretty sure he’s glad to be free from dragging that dead one around and it looks like he might have been dragging him around for a few days.
So they shot a buck while it was totally distracted fighting another buck and then cut the antlers off the live buck??? No bueno.
nobody will shoot the antler less buck. so yes, that's how he truly saved him.
