Dogs are older looks like and over weight. They would not have a chance against the wild dogs.

I had a German shepherd that I believe would run coyotes at night. He headed for the woods when they started howling and wouldn't come back 'till morning. One morning, he came home with a mouth and paw full of porcupine quills.

I hear this familiar sound every morning at the dog park, which is located several miles out of town. My dogs don't react either 😲

It is amazing to me that people don't even carry pepper spray... People are way too complacent.

This is one of the reasons why I carry when walking my dog. Going into work (Ocala, Florida) there was a pack just outside the gates of my community.

They were using the females to lure your dog into the pack before they attacked. Coyotes are smart like that.

Dogs are so fat the coyotes might have thought they were wild pigs. Get them off kibble and more walking time.

Most people don't realize how prevalent coyotes are in many parts of the country. Very secretive.

And that folks is why you pack with a conceal permit. Hell a soaker with 50-50 ammonia - water would be better than nothing.

Keep them dogs close. They are trying to lure them out. They either want to mate with them or eat them.

It’s a trap, this coyote wanted the dogs to chase them into the woods, so that his pack would ambush them.

Use to live with coyotes on my property. They are pretty smart. I had an Australian Sheppard and they are fast as hell. They would come in to the back yard and he would zoom around and bite them on the ass and they would just watch because they knew they couldn’t catch him. Luckily he was smart enough not to fall into their traps.

I had a horse and a beautiful pit bull. Tyson was my security and trail buddy. one day we were out on trail and a pack of coyotes came out from nowhere. Tyson chased them down , was able to catch 1, brought it to me and snapped his neck. the others ran off.

My oldest dog, Roscoe, has killed eight coyotes in his time so far. But he has a wife and three boys, so my pack would lose their minds over this, no way they'd be calm at all for that.

This is when I would call it quits with walking them and areas like that I would find a better area. I know you enjoy it, but your dogs look a little bit older and don’t look like they could even move as fast as they needed to and even if they were young, they still would’ve never been able to outdo those coyotes. Please Lord find another route.
