I believe when people do things like this there are a few possible reason #1 They're not used to having anything/ wealth, #2, they do it to impress those that don't have it while making them jealous or envious perhaps#3 to get praise to make them look more important or worthy of praise, there are many people with vast amounts of wealth and you wouldn't know it because they don't flash, many times the only way you would know they had anything or could afford anything would probably be by the car( s) they drive the house they live in they're address and then that too could be misleading because not all buy exotic expensive cars, some people buy the classics or regular cars you see around everyday, reminds me of Eddie Murphys Coming to America, people just regular, blend in and go about their business, no need to worry about getting kidnapped or kids family etc which to me is the best way in that respect also you get to know people's true motives
