I am blessed with my family, we honestly love and respect each other. This year we will be having our family home coming and this will be year 159 same day, same time and same place. It is held on 365 acres of land where we used to be slaves and we have been the owners starting 1865 . My grandmother was born in 1911 and went home 2010, but every year we are there to celebrate her and all our loved ones. We have a family cemetery on our land and some of those head stones are for family that were slaves.. Google Lane town cemetery ,TX that's us, my grandmother's maden name was lane.

This is so true cause when my grandma died my mother and uncle kept it going but after my mom died my uncle heart was broken he died the same year 9 months after her and everything wasn’t the same everybody gone there own way but I can say I’m bless to have my aunts and brothers on my mom side so I just pray for the rest of my family to come together 🙏🏽

They always felt like that. But everyone knew not to bring that sewer to Grandma’s house. Grandma made sure you buried those toxic thoughts & didn’t entertain “NO MESS”! She would get those mess makers together & address & resolve it right at that moment. She was a symbol of respect, family, bonding & LOVE. Nothing else should be living in your head & heart free of charge! Grandma didn’t play & kept it real.
