just about every comment here was made by idiots that have never tied tackle ever. this is a leader line, i.e. the line that runs between the main line and the hook. you peel off the amount of leader you want to use first, tie the hook, then attach the other end to a swivel or other connector that completes the rig. when fishing in flowing waters, it can be anywhere from 2-5 feet. the leader is not usually braided line, rather heavy, dense monofiliment. it's stronger and more abrasion resistant if fishing in hard rock river bottoms.

This is literally overcomplicated for no reason. what happened to tying normal knots. i've caught plenty of big fish and never had a normal knot fail.

Fishermen know it. Quadruple half hitch basically.

defeats the whole concept if you have to unspool the whole line just to put the end of the line through the loop why not just do it in reverse

avator

It looks good there’s only one problem what do you you do with the end of the line you will have to tie it to more line . This does not make sense see what I mean 🤔

avator
Woodie Taylor

Tie a loop O and bend the loop and hit it through the eye, pull partially through, around the hook and up. Done.

so then you got a tie another knot to your line I think whoever did this missed a step I've seen these nuts before

avator
Dennis Gibson
Lee, FL · a month ago

You would have to tie a swivel and then you have two more knots to tie. Kinda defeating the purpose!
