Did you see the creek bed just below the tree truck off to his left when he first arrived at the tree. A beaver is most definitely coming back to knock it down into the swamp to continue building its house. Most beavers do more damage to the environment than good, unfortunately. 😳
they fell the tree... not for the tree.. but for all the limbs. seen this many times. they drop the tree, take all the branches and limbs to build their dam... and leave the main stem laying to rot on the ground. this behavior can be harmful in plantations that skirt wetlands. beavers will move up into the plantation and become very destructive.. felling your trees for the limbs.
