Shallow water... Upper Columbia River... My Big Burly Rottweiler discovered a dozen 3ft Carp.. He leaps in pouncing on everything.. Finally the Crap realize a serious threat is.. Grappling them... I had to jump in to grab him as he's swimming out after the fish...
because they are bottom feeders, they eat all the fish poop, anything. I would not eat a Carp, yuck
wow I got a content warning for the last message...how weird.
Don't even talk to me about carp. !! The day before Christmas Eve my grandfather would catch one in the DELARE RIVER. Put it in the bathroom tub.Then kill it,and my grandma would stuff it and make soup out of it. It was a Hungarian tradition. Never touched it. You had 1 other option and that was mushroom soup. Didn't like that either. I waited for dessert. That was my dinner.

we have a lot of fish in Michigan but are most unusual fish or water item might be the mud puppy. mud puppies are intriguing. do you know what kind of fish it is that appears to be long like eel-ish?
