lol. I had a rescue that I literally had to drag in the house during that bad freeze that went all the way to Galveston several years ago. Sandman would only stay inside for a short time and if the door wasn't latched, he would go right back outside. He still doesn't like to come in the house. He would rather lay under the pickup out in the driveway...

Our last adoption was a former Memphis Street dog, rescued with 9 pups. When we brought her home she was terrified of the TV, washing machine and everything else. After the last 5 years, she owns our house and does exactly as she pleases!

fresh raw meat, some fresh veggies and cooked brown rice is really good for most breeds. I have 3 Chihuahuas healthy and throw in a little puppy chow in for the evening meal. I would talk to the Veterinarian first.
I picked up my sweet pit mix off the freeway. She was terrified of coming into the house. Obviously someone had beaten her badly for coming into the house. She was afraid of going into stores and shook like a leaf when I took my Mercedes into the Mercedes service area. Kindness, good food and love, love, love forever bonded her, and being sure she would never be abandoned again. She gave me total loyalty and appreciation and forever love and protection, in bed with me, an angel of warmth, comfort and security. It will take a little time for him/her to adjust and trust you, but the result shows you that life is worth living and that you did a wonderful thing!

poor thing has PTSD and will need lots of time to decompress. bless his heart. that breaks my heart as I have a dog with PTSD and it took her 6 months to get somewhat comfortable enough to stop shaking over new things. thank you for helping the big guy. he needs help and lots of understanding and love ❤️
