I googled it, "The spiny lumpsucker" and this is part of what came up. there is lots more info, but this matches what she said. The spiny lumpsucker is a small, spiny fish with a globular body, modified pelvic fins that form a suction cup, and a lack of scales. They are found in the cold coastal waters of the Pacific Ocean, typically near shore in shallow waters. They are also known as "living suction cups" because of their ability to attach themselves to rocks, kelp, and other surfaces.
