I am retired Food Court Manager for the Federal Government. I worked in the restaurant business for 40 years. When I retired I began Door Dashing to remain active and get some exercise. I can't tell you how many times I have wanted to go behind the counter and prepare my order so that I could leave. The service industry is going down the toilet. The employees standing around having personal conversations, if they can be found at all. Most times they are outside in a group, I assume on break all at one time smoking, leaving now one inside to take care of the customer. I want to fire everyone and I don't even work there. We won't have to worry about this much longer though because restaurants are slowly implementing AI to take over the service industry. They are already using it to take orders at the front counter and drive thru and they have been testing food preparation equipment for years. Maybe when AI takes their jobs they will wish they would have given better service.
We need MORE👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 humor in this world. Live, love and laughter. Life is hard enough as it is.
