They prolly taste good but stepping on one doesn't feel so well. I was in Taoramina, Sicily back in 1986 and stepped on one attached to and slightly underneath a large lava rock. Foot swelled up, had to have each tine pulled out and couldn't hardly walk for a week. Eat them. Don't step on them!
