i still have scars from those things when I was growing up in PR now that sht don't exist.
There is a Japanese delicacy. Sea urchin, mountain yam and raw quail egg. It's super slimy deliciousness.
They prolly taste good but stepping on one doesn't feel so well. I was in Taoramina, Sicily back in 1986 and stepped on one attached to and slightly underneath a large lava rock. Foot swelled up, had to have each tine pulled out and couldn't hardly walk for a week. Eat them. Don't step on them!
