okay just an observation... 1 he is shooting right handed so wouldn't it make more sense to be on the left hand where the real is located? 2 what if a large fish grabs hold and him at the distances he is. Seems like a device that could harm your arm. My pole bends and flexes, I don't think the arm would flex if you caught a good size fish. I will sick with my pole and keep my arm.

Is it that far fetched to consider it’s a modular reel that can be reattached back on the rod? Beats days of paying a guy on a John boat to run your lines out even though the drone idea is good this is way cheaper. I remember tying a blown Up garbage bag to a line an letting the wind take it out but that’s littering. So once the line is cast remove the cuff and reattach it to the specialize reel. Hard to believe no one in comments thought about that.

Now, you usually have a fishing pole with you, how does he plan on the line not to break? as you also have to work the pole with the line on it when you reel in a fish and having the pole down when he fights. some sharks weigh a ton and would probably hurt his arm and wrist. So, what does he do in that situation?
