On November 6, 2024 Jaden McAllister 21, of Cedar Springs, Iowa passed away as a result of fatal neck and head trauma he received 5 days earlier during a violent altercation with another Cedar Spings man. Police say the tragic incident started during a dispute between the two young men over a local female, police say the female involved ( who's name has not been released) has also been questioned in the ongoing investigation. Mathew Harris has been charged with negligent homicide as well as several other charges steming from the deadly assault. Mathew Harris 19, is currently being held in custody at Cedar county jail on a $250,000 bond police say. Jaden McAlister will be remembered as a very caring person who would "give the shirt off his back for anyone in need" family says. He will be saddley missed.
