Here’s some useful info to consider…an officer takes an oath to protect and defend life, even if it means he has to unfortunately take a life as part of his duty…but if an officer shoots and kills someone, the officer is a suspect in a homicide just like any normal citizen would be …they have the SAME RIGHTS as any normal citizens and have the right to remain silent pending the death investigation. A lot of officers don’t know this and they run their mouths after a shooting, which can ultimately ruin their defense. If the shooting death is deemed justified, he goes back to work. If it’s NOT justified, he goes to prison. Not all Officers know their limitations and some have to resort to protecting themselves with their firearm…in this incident, it’s very clear this Officer was NOT in fear so using lethal force would NOT have been justified….but he still got the job done 👍🏻
