He’s training I can tell by how he throws the leg kicks. The other guy never checked. He could’ve countered that right he threw at the beginning but at the heat of the moment it’s intense. Props to him for not hitting a down opponent. I took classes myself a few times. If the other guy took classes he would have known to check them kicks.
