To all of you on here, who support law enforcement officers, thank you!! I, truly, appreciate it!! My husband was a cop for 45 years. He retired on 12/31/23. Three weeks later, on 1/21/24, he passed away, unexpectedly. He loved his job. Most cops do love their job. If they quit loving it, they, usually, quit doing it. My husband was a gentle giant. He was 6’ 4”, 275 lbs, so most people didn’t try to tussle with him. He treated the people he dealt with, with as much respect, as they showed him. He never once had anyone complain about him. Most cops go their whole career that way. The problem is, the public, usually, only hear about the bad ones!! The bad ones need to be fired, & charged, if they do something wrong. That’s what my husband believed, & it’s what I believe.
