It's Halva! nom nom nom a middle Eastern and other country's confection. it is made with Tahini (a sesame paste) with sugar and also Cocoa for the this picture. Rich and delicious! A little piece is satisfying!!!

The BEST Middle Eastern "candy" on earth! Rich, sweet and yep, as a kid I'd freak my friends out by insisting I was eating WOOD! It only worked once per friend. 🤔 In some Target stores they sell bars. "helvah" or any similar spelling

Halvah. that's the marble version. it's sweet with a sesame taste and chocolate. there's also vanilla. it's a Jewish treat i was turned onto as a child when in NY. it's yummy. haven't eaten it in years.

I think halavah looks better than it tastes. it may look like fudge but it tastes nothing like it. to me. it has a chalky flavor actually not much taste. I guess it's an acquired taste that I never acquired LOL

Ingredients: Tahini (sesame paste) or other nut butters, sugar syrup, and flavorings like pistachios, cardamom, or chocolate. Common in the Middle East, Greece,astern Europe. never had the fudgy one because it's made with wheat. But we did have a large 5 pound marbled wheel at our wedding reception. Everyone loved it and we had a big chunk leftover that we worked on for over a month!
