NOOOOO!!!! PEPPERS, MUSHROOMS, OR VEGGIES OF ANY KIND!! A true Philly cheesesteak is on a roll w/fried onions, chopped fried ribeye steak, white american cheese, with ketchup or mayo! No true philly cheesesteak😲 has nothing more than that...now that cheesteak you could add veggies, mushrooms etc. 👍 however, the true ingredients are as I wrote, I know, because im from a family who use to make cheesesteaks in my grandpa's restaurant!🤔

I'm from the Philadelphia area and all the cheese steaks I've eaten have ribeye meat, mozzarella cheese,green peppers, sauteed mushrooms,salt pepper, on a French grilled roll with ketchup, mustard.

For those who want to try this recipe, it's much easier to slice steak into thin strips if you toss it in the freezer for a couple of minutes until it's just firm but not frozen.
