That's crazy. How did someone figure out that there was fruit deep in the center of that pod.Amazing. I would love to be able to taste it.

This is Dừa nước is the fruit of the nipa palm (Nypa fruticans), a type of mangrove palm found in Southeast Asia, including Vietnam. The fruit has a soft, jelly-like texture similar to young coconut meat and is often used in Vietnamese desserts and drinks, such as chè (sweet soups) and refreshing beverages.

They eat healthier than most, and they have no obesity problem on that side of the MAP. They are survivors. We all have to eat something, why not something healthy and not full of chemicals 🙏💕

Am I the only person that thinks it would be kind of fun to rip one of these apart? That is super cool. Love learning about new things. Love how it grows.

I bet it’s super healthy and filled with antioxidants I would love a taste, who knows maybe the next cancer cure??🙏🏼👍🏼

I agree with the animal watching theory. we used to be much more connected to our natural world, and we are curious creatures. watch kids with something that falls off a tree that they're not familiar with. what do they do? experiment with it, throw it, step on it, open it up to see what's inside! My son did it with a pawpaw yesterday.... he learned they're not ripe yet 😆😆

I have never heard of these. Love learning new things

thats pretty cool . never seen it before 💕

Very unique looking.... ✝️

That’s a lot of work to eat but I bet it taste great.

ooh wow !!! So thats how the palm fruit is harvested. I love this in my fruit salad 👍👍👍

I'm just grateful that people tried those foods.

And , nothing is wasted..😎 Cool

ty for letting me know what type of fruit I was looking at

I always wonder who was the first human to eat an oyster. Did they think "damn, that rock looks delicious " lol. They must've watched an otter go to town on some first 🦪

Some people actually work for a living

Thank you for sharing this reel and information

it's not the wealthy that know about these treasures

Ok, I was worried what it tasted like 👌🏼👏🏼👏🏼🌟🌟💕💕, thank you so much

you ever tried saffron? pinenuts?

people saying this is a lot of work 😆😆

imagine the beautiful furniture you could make from the shells of this fruit!

cool, thanks for the info.

That is talent

Early on, tomatoes were thought to be poisonous in France and Northern Europe. They were ornamental only because they were related to night shades and thought to contain belladonna. Indeed, the roots and leaves of tomatoes are not edible but the fruit itself is. So, sometimes, trial and error with foods leads us to a greater understanding of how they can be used as food sources.

My years in Asia & seeing this street fruit makes my mouth water!

looks like a huge sunflower

Thank you for sharing this video.

Looks like a monster pinecone! Fascinating!

I had no idea. Interesting I guess.

amazing incredible and the reason they have health and we're fat

Yes, Thank you for your information.

All that work for that small amount of food from each pod wow the dedication

That's another edible thing I never would have known existed. Yes I'd try it.

Am I the only one who sees the dirty apparatus used to cut this fruit open?? Then the person removing the fruit is wearing gloves????

Salak palm fruit and I had it in Indonesia and Malaysia. Palm fruits are very heavy jelly like. Look for jarred Sugar Nut Palm in the Asian aisle in the grocery store. It will be similar

I always wonder about who was the first person who ate a beaver's ass. It was then used as flavoring. Yummy!

wow really amazing

God Bless

I've never seen this fruit before!? It looks like a pine cone crossed bred with a pineapple 🤔

This is good in the Philippines we use for dessert.

What does it taste like ?🤔

It's a lot of work for a tiny sweet treat 🤔

I've often wondered how God gave people the knowledge to know what was good, same for medicinal plants. maybe they tried it if they didn't die it was good to eat. or use for medicine.

all that work for a scoop of Vaseline?

"Most unique " is a logical contradiction!
