They served this in the Army. And it's called SOS , and I never knew how it was made or what exactly was in it. Which is why I never ate any. But now I know!!
I also add fresh Mushrooms sauteed then folded into the mixture. 🤤

we call it dog food and we added diced fried potatoes and just made regular gravy instead of getting fancy with cream of mushroom soup... lol

My father brought this home when he left the Navy. My mom put this on the regular dish rotation because it could be varied. Depending on finances, tastes or the number of people you have to feed: you could serve this on toast, biscuits, rice, pasta or mashed potatoes or corn bread. Always good but always different is a good plan for feeding 9 kids!
