This looks really good, I'd try it, I can see why he says not to add sodium, almost all of the ingredients are high in sodium.
I would have mixed everything together, including the ham, which I would have chopped into bite-size pieces. I also would have added chopped mushrooms, onions and garlic that had been pre-sauteed. Growing up, my mom put crushed potato chips on top of every single casserole she ever made...ugh 馃槴 (sorry, mommy馃ズ). I would have used bread crumbs...needs some parsley, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper, too.

Too salty for me. Id be drinking gallons and gallons of water all day. I would chop the ham in cubes; then, mix all the ingredients except potatoe chips( top it off a the end), then the butter.PS ham cut in cubes, because the corners wouldn't have equal amount as the centers

A likely tasty, but pricy dish...that ham steak is about $8 (he found on sale); chips $5.99; cheese $4, butter price out by the stick use; jar of dip $5; condensed soup $1.50; pretzels $3...spices negligible if on hand...not an inflation budget friendly dish (Appx $28)...not waist friendly...pass.
