STOP! People of color been cooking smothered ribs ( like smothered pork chops) for way too many years! Do not bother strapping ribs to a lid to steam 10 minutes! Clean, cut, flour , fry…remove make skillet gravy add ribs back , turn down simmer til tender!

see people that don't know how to BBQ boil their meat thinks it will make it softer.but all they do is boil the flavor away.people know how BBQ knows BBQ ribs take time . no need to boil. some even boil chicken before BBQ.i look at what are you doing.now carne asada you marinate for 8 hours before cooking. a good brisket takes about 17 hours to cook.

I can tell no one on this thread uses science in their cooking. Steaming the pork for a few minutes just tenderizes the meat. It won’t be water logged. She could have grilled or baked too. She just made a smothered rib recipe. I thought that potato recipe was most interesting. Gonna try it.

Why did you mess those ribs up like that? Fried ribs are good...just wash, dry, season, coat with seasoned flour, & fry. Taste very similar to pork chops, bc they're pork! Just grill or bake also. That method, just make a pork roast, but the way you did this, I wouldn't like either. Those potatoes & onions were too many additions & steps too!*Meats are handled by many, has bone, blood, etc. so that's why many of us WASH meats! Heat alone isn't gonna remove that settled blood, bone fragments, ect. Just bleach your sinks, bowls, utensils, etc. My grandparents, parents, my family all WASH our meats, veggies, etc...all but ground meats...Safety 1st*

Fuck that! A little bit of Black’s barbecue rub on them, put in smoker for 8 hours with some apple wood, cherry wood or whiskey barrel wood chips. Set it, pan of acv (apple cider vinegar) mixed with apple juice and water. Set timer and get shit done around the house! 🤤🤤🤤 Fall off the bone ribs!
