I only put money in at one Baptist church in my old neighborhood. it was this tiny little church that struggled to even get a pastor bc they actually used the money for the church and the members would take turns leading service there was no gold to be seen, the few kids had a class downstairs, they gave snacks, barley had ac/heat, and all the "pastors" they tried to hired turned the position down bc they couldn't afford to keep their life style that was the only honest to God church I have ever been to in my life and would NEVER step foot inside any other!
My daughter goes to and works at a mega church. They know exactly how much they make, and they expect them to pay 50% of their salary to the church. How is that legal? I told her she's in a cult but she drank the kool-aid. She thinks I'm the devil!

if some of these comments are true about the church and the money then why are the pastors living large I mean maga large and their congregation is homeless hungry and need help with their bills and if they ask for help they would be told to pray about it not to mention most of them are living double lives on the down low sleeping with the men women and children ijs

my mother in law just told me how a church was trying to prevent people from leaving so they could pay their tithe. what if someone have literally nothing? what if you barely have anything to survive on? what then?are you only allowed to be apart of a congregation if you pay the membership?

My brother was looking for god and he started going to a Pentecostal church and he was doing better but they got a new minister and he was money grubbing and as soon as he pulled out the dish so you can put money in there he began to say if you gonna put 5 dollars or less we have a problem with that and being that my brother is on a fixed income and all he had was 5 dollars that he was going to give and my brother felt embarrassed and got up and left.. Honey god is everywhere and you don’t need to go to church to pray as long as you live your life decent

Keeping the preacher wealthy doesn’t get anyone into heaven. These are the shepherds in wolves clothing that feed upon their flocks. The Lord said that service to his gospel should be free. The tithes are not for the preacher to be taken care of like they use them for. They are suppose to feed the hungry and cloth the naked and bond up the broken hearted. These men have their treasure here they will get No reward in heaven.
