thats the reason I get so pissed when people talk about bad parenting. they can get away so fast. you can't help it when nature calls. thank GOD for the camera or she could've been in that road in no time.
My son did this when he was 2. Went upstairs for literally a min. Came down and the door was open. Ran after him and grabbed him by the collar right before he was about to run into the street where a speeding semi was. After this I installed a double sided lock on the door where you could only get out if you have a key. Had this in every place I lived. Saved my sanity and gave me peace of mind and saved my kids.
Super SCAREY. My son got out while I was at work on the night shift and my husband was sleeping. Mother's intuition is a real thing. for some reason I just knew I needed to go home on lunch break. Which I didn't normally do. I pulled onto my street and there were cops all over. Cop said someone found a toddler walking down an alley. It was my 2 yr old. New locks and other precautions were taken to avoid that again. It was 10:30 at night 🥺.Thank God nothing happened to him
A situation like this prompted us to install the "top lock" as I call it. They never got out again, and I couldn't finally take a shower without worry!
I’m usually not one for spankings, but she needs one to understand how dangerous this is. She could have been gone in ten seconds, if there wasn’t a camera.
😅
why are you leaving your doors unlocked ?
lord be.... 82'-84', my ever adventures Son was a mini escape artist! Already sneaking out to see his Lil girlfriend!! For true.🙏✌️🌹.
🤔
Never take your eyes off of them.
Kids are always on a mission to kill themselves and it’s frustrating
uhm... lock the door?
Keep your doors locked!
I have a son who has autism spectrum and he’s always trying to elope outside when he thinks no one is watching him Lord please protect our little angels from harms way.
"It's Butt Woopin' time!"
Great job momma for everyone who has kids ring cameras should be standard for everyone who has little ones
That camera just paid for itself ❤️
Front door should be locked.
happens all the time
Many years ago my son was in town with his five-year-old autistic son and two-year-old son. We install installed locks on the door that Dom couldn’t reach because he would escape. One morning, my alarm went off to get up to go to work and I just like heard this voice say check Dominic I go into the living room. My son is sound asleep on the couch and all the doors are open and in front of the door is a chair I ran into my daughter‘s room to see if he was in there, but I already knew my son was freaking out. Everyone went out to look for him. I called the police and they had him. He literally started undressing as he was walking and he wound up at a big street thank you, dear God that he didn’t cross that Main Street. We had to fly my son’s wife in from California because we had to deal with child protective service services. After this incident that very day we put locks on everything that you needed a key to open, including the windows. Thank you, dear God, that someone saw him.
Kid hasn't learned - moms have eyes in the back of their heads.
omg, they need a fence!!!
Mine took a walk twice on me with chicks locks on the door and everything. He was 3/4 when this happened. Even had the police looking for him.
I had a daughter who did this in Utah. she decided to go in dog house to hide. whole neighbors n police we looked over a yr for her. I was just so Happy she was ok . very scary exspecialy these days
the mean and judgmental comments are wild. I lived on an apartment complex where it was a VIOLATION to the contract to install metal bolted locks on the doors. My baby just figured out how to open doors. Nothing was stopping him to stop it. baby locks were against the contract and violation could mean eviction. only affordable place I could get after leaving a bad marriage that ruined my credit so I installed baby gates& I got in trouble for that too! I taped on dollar tree alarms, blink cameras, connected the cameras to Alexa to broadcast motion alarts. it seemed to me like that baby was watching my every move because ONCE A MONTH, during the "red week", Id get those painful cramping explosive diarreas & THAT is when he would open the front door and walk out. thankfully I have wonderful neighbors that loved me and always caught him on time. kids are SNEAKY and FAST! I did my best and what I could to protect my child &he still bypassed it!some children are just smart.
Never had this happen because I always locked my doors
I hope that she gets spanked. i only spanked my son once when he scared me by running into the street. This does call for a spanking
wt heck, you never leave a child alone in a vehicle. Not even for 2 seconds. Goes to show 1 Mother's mistake could lead to the loss of your child. Hit by a car. Kidnapped, lost and alone. Dead !!!
all the time!! ahhhh
That’s why you need a child proof everything in your house. I don’t have children, but I have dogs and I dog proof my house more for a human being
Happened w/ my 2yr.old son, 43 yrs. ago!!!!!
So…maybe lock your doors and make sure things are secure. Don’t leave children unattended. Not only could your child walk off, but some creep could easily grab them.
Protective parenting.. she could have gotten snatched.. so what if she said “butt”.. her daughter is alive!
Put a lock up on the top corner of that door!
Kids recognize an opportunity when they see one. Mom was on point. But I can see how it definitely can happen…
good eyes mama. we had to put a latch at top of the door for the little escape artist around here lol. she took cute 🥰
kids are escape artist
why is her door unlocked???
Top locks or locks with keys don't trust your kid they will live longer.🥰😇😎👍
My son was nicknamed "Little Houdini" because he was scary good at figuring out how to get through locks from the time he was 2 yo. It got to the point I could only do serious bathroom time at night when he was sleeping. 😆
why did you say right now wen she was about to open the door
I only have one child and he's 38 now but no I never had to worry about him getting away from me. I might have been a helicopter mom😊
yeah...2 and 3 yr Olds are FAMOUS for doing that kind of stuff! God Bless you mama
nice job but mama u gotta figure out a way to place a fence of some sort to divide the street from your property it's just to dangerous like that
i have this problem with women kids and dogs and cats ,
They make locks for doors that children can't reach...be prepared for anything.
This is exactly how my daughter is!! She’s a little ninja! Thank the good lord for cameras and child door locks! 😂
thank God for that camera
The door should have been locked
jail break
yeah,so scary to have a smart child, I had a little escape artist,I carried that boy on my hip until he found a kitten, that completely changed him from devil to angel..
She could have locked the screen door.
that front door should have had a child safety latch to begin with.
at least she listens mine won't lol
At least she listened and went back in!! This has happened with my son except when I say “come here now!”, physically coming up behind him, he takes off running as FAST as he can while laughing and looking behind him at me coming after him…. COMPLETELY unaware and uncaring of ANYTHING he could be running into ahead of him! SO terrifying! If we lived in this busy street it would’ve been ALL BAD Also, Im convinced they pre-plan these things and literally the second we go into the bathroom they’re OUT the door! It takes not even 2seconds!
sad part is she looked like she wanted to run off once she got caught but changed her mind last second, and that stank face at the end!🤣
I’m just wanting to know Where was Maylin going 😆😲
🥺
My grand baby was out in the road the other day, her mom was in the bathroom and she zoomed right out the door, thank you to the couple who brought her back, she’s quick and silent
Another reason y I won’t be having kids
At this age, the door should always be locked or put a hook and eye latch on the top of the door
my son ran off twice..once my girl and her kids left him outside 🤔..he ran off with sum lil girl..longest few mins of my life..another time he ran off on a walk with his gma..she couldn't catch him...I LUCKILY!!!! heard his voice in someone else's house..or lord knows wut woulda happened there.
I put a ded bolt on my door to keep my 2 year old from doing just that. it took her 1 day to figure out all she had to do was get a chair and climb up on it and throw the latch. I then had to get a double keyed dead bolt, as there were no fancy door knob spinners back then.
bettr learn to babi safe that door n keep it lockd🤷🏻♀️doubt she wuld b able to unlock dat door not with dat typa lock neway
No need to scream!!! 🤬
Unfortunately 2 seconds is all it takes. It’s almost better to have some type of lock way up on the door and have it locked all the time, kids are just so fast.
They make so many things to keep your kids from escaping these days. Thankfully. All I needed were the doorknob covers where your hand has to be a certain size to grip the knob and turn it, but they make alarms that go off when the door opens and obviously these doorbell and lightbulb cameras are lifesavers too.
