the problem is is that they should ask the two questions one is this a service animal to what service does it perform if that animal does not perform a service they are to be pushed out of the store. an emotional support animal is not a service animal. the problem is a lot of grocery stores restaurants and such are not willing to tell the customer to GTFO because they're afraid of bad reviews I would rather have the bad review and staying true to my good customers then letting other customers overrun my store.

The dogs are not allowed to ride inside the shopping cart where you put your food not just for Costco. That is a federal law. You are allowed to take the animal into the store no matter what store walking on a leash that is protected under federal law.

It's up to the establishment whether an animal is allowed in a private establishment. As far as I'm concerned, all service dogs should show proof of training. Which they do. Most Support animals have no documentation of ever being trained. Just a vest.

Ok frankly only dogs that should be allowed in grocery stores our restaurants are those that are service dogs because they are trained very well and are not a problem they don’t go after things in stores they are also well behaved but putting your dog on the cart no you just don’t do that in California but also the worker was being rude
