There’s no reason to go back, not a nasa scientist so I’m not 100% of the validity of this but I read an article talking about why we never sent more astronauts to the moon and the answer was that it’d be pointless as all the tests and experiments we could/need to do could be done on earth by replicating certain conditions we observed the first time we sent people. Also, we have plenty of physical samples so there’s no real need to get more.
