the light you say is in earth is only a reflection of the sun in space the light is all over space but nothing to reflect it you can't see light light can only be seen as a reflection. if you could put a giant bullseye out in space somewhere near the moon or in proximity you would suddenly see it's reflection of light showing it's a bullseye it could be seen as long as its not in a shadow or to far away or between earth and the sun then it might show up as a black spot on the sun with us in its shadow.

In my teens, I read all book about a man who questioned his life. He broke a law to climb a mountain. He climbed for days before reaching the summit. Outer space is dark because it's nearly empty, and light needs something to reflect off of in order to be seen. The Sun shines through space, but unless that light hits something (like a planet or dust), it won't appear bright — it'll just pass through invisibly.

I a few degrees from MIT so let me explain. The sun really does pour light into space in all directions, but space looks dark because of two main reasons. 1) No medium to scatter light On Earth, the sky is bright blue during the day because sunlight hits air molecules and dust, scattering the light in all directions (Rayleigh scattering). 2) Your eyes only see light coming from objects, not the light passing by Light beams traveling through a vacuum don’t become visible to you just by existing. For light to be seen, it has to either: •enter your eyes directly from the source (the Sun or a star), or •reflect off or scatter from something toward you (a planet, dust, etc.). In empty space, there’s nothing for the sunlight to bounce off, so you don’t see the light path—it just looks black.
