when I was a kid I loved climbing this beautiful willow tree and everywhere all over the tree if you pulled the bark off, on the smooth part under the bark , there were markings everywhere lk Egyption markings or some kind of markings but they were all over the tree under the bark so it definitely grew lk that. the most beautiful tree I have ever seen and I love willow trees bcuz of it. of course they cut it down but it used to be right behind the 711 on north point road in Dundalk Maryland.
